Binary™Single Coax HDMI 1.3 Exten(400′)+IR Receiv&Flash Pass

SKU : SA B-400-1COAX-HDIR

Description

Binary™ Single Coax HDMI Extender (400′) Plus IR Receiver & Flasher Pass Through

Perfect for those legacy systems that were pre-wired with only a single coaxial cable to each endpoint. The Binary™ 1COAX extender gives you the ability to send HDMI and IR control signals over the existing coax infrastructure. This system is completely resistant to EMI and ESD while delivering 1080p high definition up to 400 feet away.

Important Notice: If you are extending a source to a Panasonic television with a B-400-1COAX-HDIR you may have a problem with audio. The video will display correctly, but after a few minutes to a few hours there will be no audio, or garbled audio through the TV speakers. If an AV receiver is used for sound the audio will play without problems.
Extend Your Options
Existing analog TV installations with coaxial cable can now be easily retrofitted to HDMI distribution systems using the B-400-1COAX-HDIR. High-def HDMI signals are delivered up to 400′ at full 1080p 60Hz resolution.* At up to 3X the distance, this extender is the ideal problem solver for long-distance residential and commercial HDMI applications.

NOTE: For max. distance use RG6 3GHz solid copper core 75 Ohm quadshield cable and 75 Ohm BNC connectors

Engineered by SnapAV
Under the hood of the B-400-1COAX-HDIR is an engineer’s paradise! These surface-mount, high speed circuits are built on a multi-layer board to give you an “over coax” solution that is specifically designed for custom install applications. Sure you have a number of supplier choices when it comes to HDMI products – but do they offer full HDCP compliance, EDID learning, bi-directional IR, and locking power connectors? “Engineered by SnapAV” – it’s not just a saying, it’s what we do.

EMI/ESD Immunity
In some applications, conventional unshielded twisted pair can be susceptible to interference from fans, microwaves and other devices that emit RF noise. Coaxial wire is fully shielded with a metal braid and foil so it is more resistant to EMI. During development, every connection was tortured with an ESD gun and a lightning simulator. They were hit with ESD at 15KV and surges up to 2500V. More important, though, they each lived to tell about it!

Bi-Directional IR
Over the same coax wire, you can easily control DVD players, cable boxes and other source equipment from the TV location. If an automation or remote system is being used, an adapter cable is included to allow control of the TV from the equipment at the head-end. For best performance, use our Episode® IR flashers and receivers. View Diagram>>

Installation Ease
A bi-color status LED on the TX and RX units indicate if the unit is receiving power and signal – great for troubleshooting! We’ve even included a locking power connector to secure power to the unit. No more worries about the customer calling because the power came unplugged! An EDID learning mode ensures the TV and source will always be in sync and operating at the highest resolution.
